We're Here!!!

Hi everyone! We're here at the college in Professor Serravallo's office on Saturday morning. It is a beautiful day - the weather has been spectacular. There is a light rain in the mornings and by noon, the sun is out and the sky is blue and the Adriatic just sparkles. All the pictures on the internet - that is what we see when we sit on our apartment balcony.

Good thing we are healthy hearty American girls - everything here is on a hill. We went looking for a grocery store yesterday after we arrived and while going down 230 steps...yes, 230...isn't too tough, when you are jet lagged and tired, going back UP was a real interesting activity. We would take 30 steps and rest and catch our breath and then go on.

Today is a relax and walk around the Old Town day and hopefully find our way back home. We will be walking to and from the college every day, so expect us to be really buff when we see you all again.

That is it for now - be assured that we arrived safe and sound. Thank you for all your support and good wishes and prayers.

Hi Cathy & Annette!!! We just got into your blog this morning and caught up on all of your stories! Go soccer!!! How exciting this is for you. We loved reading about your adventures so keep them coming. We laughed at the stairs and the potty. How different things are. The place looks absolutely beautiful; what a great experience for you both. We were so worried about you getting there all right. I'm off to General Biology right now. Talk about intense - they are doing Gen Bio I for three weeks, then Gen Bio II for 3 weeks and then Gen Bio III for 3 weeks! All 3-4 hours at a time. It is really intense, but the Prof looks like a student herself and she is a doll. Really organized. They are flying thru the material though. Keep us posted! All for now; catch up with you soon :) WW
